The Lacelle Wig Foundation
The Lacelle Wig Foundation was created to help children who need a wig but whose families simply cannot afford one with just their requisition grant from the goverment. We believe every child deserves to feel confident, comfortable, and like themselves, regardless of their circumstances.
A wig can make a huge difference in a child's life, but the cost can be out of reach for many families. Through the Foundation, businesses and supporters sponsor the materials needed to create each wig, while I personally donate my time to handcraft every one.
Each child receives a custom made wig, along with everything they need to care for it, so they can feel confident from the very beginning.
Our goal is simple. To give more children access to beautiful, high quality wigs and to remind them that they are never alone. Together, we can make a real difference, one child at a time.
How can you help?
Our goal is to donate 20 wigs to children through charitable organisations every year, and with the support of our Foundation Partners, we hope to help even more children in the years to come.
Businesses play a big part in making this possible by sponsoring the materials needed to create each wig, while I donate my time to handcraft every piece. Every partnership means another child can receive a wig without the financial burden falling on their family.
As a thank you, we proudly recognise our Foundation Partners across our website and social media, acknowledge their support when speaking about the Foundation and wig accessibility, and, whenever possible, invite them to meet some of the incredible children they have helped. It's a meaningful way to show your company's commitment to giving back while making a real difference in a child's life.
Other ways to support
We're also incredibly grateful for donations of new or deadstock items that can be included in each child's care kit. Items such as detangling brushes, wig stands, styling tools, heat tools, hair accessories and wig care products help make each donation feel even more special and easier to care for the wig.
These extra gifts mean every child receives not only their custom made wig, but also the tools they need to care for it and enjoy wearing it from day one.
