A well-made wig starts with the right measurements and thoughtful construction. Taking accurate head measurements helps ensure your wig fits comfortably, securely, and naturally.
The illustration on the left shows the measurements I always recommend knowing. They're useful whether you're ordering a custom wig, checking your size, or simply keeping your measurements on hand for future purchases. All you need is a soft measuring tape and a few minutes.
1. Head Circumference
Starting at the centre of your forehead, just above your eyebrows, wrap the measuring tape around your head. Follow your natural hairline, pass behind your ears, around the nape of your neck, and back to where you started. This is the most important measurement when determining your wig size.
2. Front to Nape
Place the tape at the centre of your front hairline and measure straight over the crown of your head to the centre of your nape. This measurement ensures the wig sits correctly from front to back.
3. Ear to Ear (Over the Crown)
Measure from the top of one ear, across the highest point of your head, to the top of the opposite ear. This helps ensure the wig fits comfortably across the crown.
4. Ear to Ear (Across the Forehead)
Measure from the front of one ear, across your forehead at the natural hairline, to the front of the opposite ear. This measurement helps determine how the lace front and hairline will sit across your forehead.
5. Temple to Temple (Around the Back)
Starting at one temple, measure around the back of your head to the opposite temple. This measurement helps ensure the wig follows the natural shape of your head and fits comfortably around the sides and back.
6. Nape of neck
Measure the width of your hairline at the nape of your neck. This measurement is only required for Full Lace Wigs. My Half Lace Wigs have an adjustable cap, so the nape width isn't as important when determining your size.

7. Silicone Ear Tabs
Silicone tabs provide extra grip while creating a soft, comfortable surface against the skin. They help reduce friction and chafing during wear and are ideal if you use wig glue or tape.
Instead of applying adhesive directly to the delicate HD lace, you can apply it to the silicone tabs. This helps protect the lace from repeated adhesive use, making your wig easier to maintain and helping extend its lifespan.

After years of testing different materials, I developed my own transparent anti-slip silicone specifically for lace wigs. It is manufactured exclusively for me here in Sweden within my family and is not available from wig suppliers, manufacturers, or wholesale vendors. I also don't sell the material to other wig companies or to the public.
Each silicone strip is individually cut, strategically placed, and hand-sewn onto the wig base using an ultra-fine transparent thread. The silicone closely matches transparent HD lace, making it discreet while providing extra grip exactly where it's needed.
Because every wig is different, I position each strip by hand to suit that specific cap construction. The result is a secure, comfortable fit without adding bulk or affecting the natural appearance of the wig.
